New Temporary Visiting Hours

Due to rising flu and RSV cases across the Tri-State, Deaconess Health System is implementing temporary visitor restrictions to protect vulnerable patients. These are effective January 9, 2026.

  • No visitors under the age of 16.
  • No visitors with symptoms of illness, including sudden onset of fever, cough, headache, muscle or joint pain, sore throat, or runny nose.

Visitation Guidelines By Unit

New Visitation Guidelines include:

JSH Visitation Guidelines

No visitors under the age of 12 years old will be allowed. Exception: Siblings may visit daily 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on our Maternity unit ONLY.

  • Essential caregivers (one healthy adult) must accompany patients under the age of 18 and adult patients who are physically dependent or vulnerable and require assistance.
  • With prior arrangement, visitors of patients at end-of-life may be allowed to visit outside of the posted visiting hours.

Visitor Entrance: Visitors should enter through the main hospital entrance near the Emergency Department.
JSH’s 18th Street Entrance remains open for outpatient infusion, cardiac rehabilitation, and pulmonary rehabilitation patients. Visitors may also utilize this entrance. This entrance will be open Monday thru Friday 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.
JSH is constantly reviewing current recommendations, guidelines to make certain that our patients, visitors, staff, and providers are informed and protected. These guidelines are subject to change.
