An acute psychiatric crisis often requires immediate care and oversight by trained mental health professionals. At Jennie Stuart’s Behavioral Health Unit, we have the experience to provide expert, compassionate care.
The Jennie Stuart Behavioral Health Unit is designed to help people who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or mania, or who may be experiencing altered thought processes. They may be unable to care for their needs or at risk of harming themselves or others. Our inpatient unit, housed on the hospital campus at 320 West 18th Street in Hopkinsville, offers a safe, nonjudgmental environment where care is delivered with respect and compassion.
Expert, Personalized Care and Support
Upon admission, each person undergoes a multidisciplinary assessment process to ensure that treatment is structured to meet his or her needs. Through psycho-educational training and focused activities, we help people develop skills to manage their acute symptoms and begin the healing process. This is a vital service to meet the needs of adults and their families that addresses lifestyle adjustments, loss, physical challenges and medical issues seen throughout all phases of life.

HAVE YOU CHECKED ON YOUR LOVED ONES LATELY?
If you have a parent, sibling or other relative or friend who may have experienced a recent change in attitude or behavior, ask them these questions:
- During the past month, have you experienced feelings of sadness, depression or hopelessness?
- Have you often been bothered by a lack of interest or pleasure in doing things?
If the answer is yes to either or both questions, a visit with one of our Jennie Stuart behavioral health professionals may be the next step.
