Jennie Stuart Medical Center treats all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, for emergent and medically necessary care. If you know that you will be unable to pay your medical bills, contact the Financial Assistance team immediately at 812-450-3435. Our staff will work with you to create a plan that fits your situation. Discounts will be based on a sliding fee scale up to 350% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines.
Rural Health Clinic patients may qualify for a sliding fee scale discount. The Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Financial Assistance Policy applies to the following JSMC RHC facility locations:
No one will be denied access to services due to an inability to pay. There is a discounted sliding fee/schedule available based on family size and income.
Jennie Stuart Medical Center’s Financial Assistance policies and applications are available to patients in English and Spanish. These documents are available free of charge at all facility locations or by mail. These documents can be requested by contacting Healthcare Resource Solutions at 812-450-3435. Billing Specialists are available Monday-Friday, from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm to discuss the application process at 812-450-3435.
