Doctor Bio

Kristi is a proud native of Eastern Kentucky (Pikeville area) but is loving the Western side of the state. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Kentucky and her Post Masters Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University in 2007. She is a board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Kristi found her love of Neonatology in 1999 at the University of Kentucky NICU as a bedside RN. After 8 years of bedside experience, she became a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in 2007. She continued her career at UK for a total of 22 years caring for the smallest and most fragile infants in Kentucky. Kristi joined the JSMC team in November of 2021 and has enjoyed being a part of Team Jennie.

Kristi lives in Central Kentucky with her 2 sons that keep her super busy and always on the go. She loves road trips and traveling with her sons; always looking for the next adventure. Ian, her oldest is a talented vocalist with plans to attend the UK School of Music to pursue Music Education. Colin, her youngest excels in athletics and is a member of the high school golf team. Kristi’s greatest accomplishments are her children and her career, as an NNP and serving the infants of Western Ky.
