Jennie Stuart Health Launches New Lab Automation System

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to launch the hospital’s new laboratory automation system. "Jennie Stuart has partnered with Beckman Coulter to bring the highest levels of laboratory efficiency and testing capabilities to our patients and physicians. The lab is now the most advanced in Western Kentucky and one of the most advanced laboratories in the states of Tennessee and Kentucky.", said Eric Lee, CEO. "We are proud to offer such a technologically advanced system to our region."
The automated system features clinical chemistry analysis, hematology, immunoassay, and urinalysis protocols. The analyzers provide standardized test menus, instrument processes and reference ranges that provide consistent quality results, and delivers precise, accurate results faster to improve patient care.
The ribbon cutting festivities were attended by Mayor Carter Hendricks who presented the lab with a proclamation in honor of lab week, Jennie Stuart Health staff and physicians, and representatives from Beckman Coulter, the company who manufactures the new technology.
