Partnership will bring growth, expanded services, and continued high-quality care to Hopkinsville and the surrounding region
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Today marks a new chapter in the history of Jennie Stuart Health (JSH), as the hospital officially becomes part of Deaconess Health System. This milestone represents an exciting opportunity to expand services, enhance resources and continue the tradition of exceptional care that JSH has provided for more than a century.
For patients and employees, there will be no immediate changes. Jennie Stuart Health will keep its name and culture while gaining the support of Deaconess’ resources and expertise to fuel growth and innovation.
“This is a proud and historic day for Jennie Stuart Health,” Jennie Stuart CEO Eric Lee said. “By joining Deaconess, we are building on our legacy of excellent care, while opening the door to new opportunities for growth and expanded services. Our patients, employees and community can be confident that the compassionate, high-quality care they’ve always known will continue—stronger than ever.”
Deaconess CEO Shawn McCoy echoed that sentiment.
“We are honored to welcome Jennie Stuart Health into the Deaconess family,” he said. “Our goal is to support the Hopkinsville region with even greater access to advanced services, additional providers and the same commitment to outstanding patient care that has long been the hallmark of Jennie Stuart.”
The affiliation will allow Jennie Stuart Health to maintain its roots while collaborating closely with Deaconess to strengthen physician recruitment, expand specialty care and bring new investments in technology and facilities.
Together, JSH and Deaconess will build on a shared mission of advancing health and well-being—ensuring patients in Hopkinsville and the surrounding communities have access to exceptional care, close to home.
