From Dr. Jake Oman:
“I grew up in a small town in Northeastern Utah. At a young age, I was extremely interested in the mysteries of the human body, how it worked, and how health affected our lives. I set my sights on becoming a physician and helping people live their healthiest life.
After completion of medical school, I pursued General Surgery. I absolutely loved my time while training in General Surgery, but I greatly longed for the long-term patient-to-doctor relationship, which is what initially drove me into medicine. Through this realization, I made the difficult decision to leave General Surgery, after 2 completed years, and pursue Family Medicine.
I genuinely love the work I do, I care deeply for my patients, and enjoy being a part in helping them live a long and healthy life.
I have been married 17 years to my wife, and together we have a beautiful 8 year old daughter. When we were contemplating our relocation, we both felt incredibly inspired to be in Kentucky, and we look forward to the new adventures, friendships and experiences to come!
We love camping, fishing, hunting, exploring, golfing, traveling, time around a fire-pit, and any opportunity to make family memories!”
