Perioperative Services
Perioperative Services combines Pre-admission Testing, Same-day Surgery, Operating Room, Post-anesthesia Recovery Room, Endoscopy, and Central Sterile units into one department offering high-quality surgical and related services. Additional surgical services are Bariatric Surgery, Endoscopy, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, OB/Gyn, Ophthalmology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Podiatry, Robotics, Urology, and Vascular.
Perioperative Services are designed so that our patients can be prepared for and undergo a surgical or endoscopic procedure, enter the recovery phase, and receive post-operative nursing care in a warm and caring environment. If the patient requires a hospital stay after surgery, he/she will be transported to a patient room and receive exceptional inpatient nursing care. Patients undergoing a same-day procedure will receive post-operative nursing care in anticipation of a home departure. Patients also can take comfort that the professional Perioperative Services staff will extend the same care to waiting family members or friends, providing them with refreshments and warm blankets if they desire.
Our staff comprises dedicated, long-term employees of Jennie Stuart Health, exceeding 600 years of experience combined. We strive to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible, providing pre-operative and post-operative education and support.
High-quality, outpatient surgical services also are available at the Jennie Stuart Ambulatory Surgery Campus at our Eagle Way Campus in Hopkinsville.
